Optrak4 Data Warehouse (O4DW) is a repository of historical routing data produced by the Optrak4 Vehicle Routing and Scheduling System. It can also be updated with actual data from trips that have been completed.
O4DW is supplied as an extension to an Optrak4 installation. A library of standard reports is available in a variety of formats. O4DW can be configured to the specific reporting needs of a client including KPI reporting and planned versus actual trip information.
The data is stored in a Microsoft SQL Server database with clearly defined and documented table structures and views to facilitate ease of reporting. The database is available to a variety of query tools such as Microsoft Access and Excel, Crystal Reports or ProClarity.
Analysis
The database contains a range of pre-formed analytical queries and reports for standard KPIs, planned versus actual comparison, analysis of distribution requirements (order profiling) and so forth. These can be used directly or as a basis for customized end-user reports.
The data is made available to applications such as Excel allowing sophisticated cost models to be developed. Customer site data and other geographical data is also available for access via Geographical Information Systems (such as MapInfo).
Strategic Use
O4DW includes facilities for scenario management. This enables users to run multiple scenarios within Optrak4 and use the database for cross-scenario comparisons.
Scenarios are not confined to a single day but can span multiple days and multiple Optrak4 projects.
